WIPTW 2022 - Update 07 — Borthwick Family Site

A bit of time since the last update, its amazing how quickly time passes.

A large amount painted since last time, I’ve gotten a few sets done and working on more sets. so a successful few weeks.

I also finished the 20 block and loaded up a new one. I now have a painted Carnevale gang, a Warcry warband (and the start of an AOS army) and am working well through the models i need for my Lurkers from the deep game.

Games Played:

I’ve played a couple games of Carnevale now and Warcry, and looking forward to Horus Heresy.

WIPTW - Rules

Keep track of what i have painted
Can only buy half of what i have painted

Its hard to keep track of the rules due to the way kickstarters work, but in general if i can avoid buying models in general to half of what i painted, and just try to minimise damage with kickstarters i will be fine.

Painted this ‘week’:

So about 60 models since last time. a lot of terrain, finally finished the Laketown buildings, and i painted an entire block of Orruk Ironjaws, in about 8 days, was able to get some great speed painting and bulk painting practice (which will help with the sisters army).

I’m working a lot at the moment so its nice to just knock out a simple model every 1.5 days.

20 Block Progress:

I have finished this 20 block on the 18th of June and started a new one, which you can see here. a nice new spread of models and i am really looking forward to painting the Lion.

As of this update i have finished the following models - 20,21,22,23

And I have the following to go - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19

Purchased and delivered:

I have been slowing down the purchases just to keep space good at the house. but i have bought more Carnevale models, the Horus Heresy box, the Vlads army expansion from Crooked Dice, and some more Stargrave stuff.

Working on:

I have cleaned up all my Carnevale models and now they just need cleaning in the sonic cleaner (TTCombat has some brutal mold release stuff), and have assembled 80% of my Sisters of Battle army, have primed all the models for Lurkers from the Deep, and about to start working on the Horus Heresy Models.

Stats YTD:

Making good progress this year, i have a good routine down, and its getting results. I have already painted more than i did last year. now some of that is small bits of terrain but there are also some big bits so i think it balances out.

I’m not posting the models from Crooked dice, im about to base them all so will do them in a group then, and will do a separate post for the Ironjaws. Still need to take pics of the terrain.
